1. Who We Are
Ride Chauffeuring Ltd ("we", "us", "our") is the data controller for personal data collected through this website and our booking process. Contact us at bookings@ridechauffeuring.co.uk with any privacy questions or requests.
2. What We Collect
When you make a booking, contact us, or apply to become a chauffeur, we collect information such as your name, email address, phone number, pickup/drop-off addresses, payment confirmation (we do not store full card details — this is handled by our payment processor), and any details you choose to share in booking notes or messages.
3. How We Use It
We use your data to: create and manage your booking; process payment; contact you about your journey; respond to enquiries; assess driver applications; and, where you've agreed, send you service updates. We do not sell your personal data.
4. Who We Share It With
We share data only where necessary to deliver our service: with the chauffeur assigned to your booking (name, contact number, journey details); with our payment processor (Stripe) to take payment; with our database and authentication provider (Supabase) to store booking and account records; and with our email provider (Resend) to send booking confirmations. Each of these providers processes data under their own privacy and security terms.
5. How Long We Keep It
We retain booking records for as long as necessary to meet our accounting and legal obligations, and contact/enquiry data for a reasonable period to respond to and follow up on your enquiry. You can ask us to delete your data at any time, subject to records we're legally required to keep.
6. Your Rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, email bookings@ridechauffeuring.co.uk. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
